Wendy Dempster is descended from the stolen generation. Wendy specialises in dot painting and original Aboriginal designs and uses her painting as an outlet to express her innermost longings and troubles.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Wendy has worked many years in the disability sector and is also an accomplished poet. She is most passionate about assisting young mothers who may lose their children due to child protection concerns.Butterfly DreamingGina Varagnolo



Gina is an Awabakal and Biripi woman. Growing up in the Newcastle area, Gina spent eight years at Taree and Great Lakes Tafe studying Aboriginal and Fine Arts. She uses a mixture of contemporary and traditional Aboriginal designs.
IntertwinedMelissa Jingalu Craig

‘Jingalu’ Melissa Craig traces her Aboriginal heritage to the Gumbayngirr and Yaegl Tribes in New South Wales. She regularly exhibits her artwork here in Australia and around the world, including Washington DC, Santa Fe in New Mexico, San Francisco and Colarado. Jingalu is also a regular contributor to the jeans for genes foundation by painting on well-known persons such as Jessica Mauboy’s jeans.

Sonya Varagnolo

Sonya is an Awabakal and Biripi woman and is the sister of Aboriginal artist, Gina Varagnolo. Sonya also grew up in the Newcastle area and Taree, finally attending Great Lakes Tafe to study Aboriginal and Fine Arts. She uses a mixture of contemporary and traditional Aboriginal designs whose sister has the same style.
